I Can't Even Think Straight is Australia's first gay soap - broadcast to the web first in July 2003.

Get ready for a journey deep into the bowels of situation comedy. I Can't Even Think Straight! takes the classic sit-com and turns it on it's head, creating a provocative, self-reflexive giggle at sexuality, TV and 'family normality'.

In the spirit of Strangers With Candy, I Can't Even Think Straight! sees the 'queering' of a genre we all know and love. Complete with Mom, Dad, the psychotic brain-damaged cat, the friendly transsexual English teacher and a whole host of other self-referential devices, I Can't Even Think Straight! is dark, and ironic humour without a social conscience to be seen.

The Fieldings are a typically psychotic nuclear family sentenced to live their lives half an hour at a time in a world where the moral of the story is the only thing that really matters.

In episode one, Corey fights for gender equality in the lead up to the Local Community Beauty Pageant, which is organized by paedophile Principal Wright. When his sister Alice is abused by the School Coach, Corey hatches a militant plan with the help of transsexual English teacher Mrs. Turner... When Carla, the Fielding Family cleaner, falls pregnant to Dad in episode two, gay-boy Corey becomes the victim of a sinister plan for life-long heterosexuality. With the help of Snowy, the talking cat, Corey confronts his Dad in a climactic engagement party scene in which everyone gets more than they bargained for, especially the Boy Next Door! This is the Growing Pains you always wanted with tinge of Degrassi High and a pink tip-truck of irony?.

a little about our friendly ICETS charachters.....

COREY (Richard Viede)  The Golden Boy of sitcom magic, Corey always comes up with a way to solve everyone's problems within half an hour. Be it dating Dad's bosses son; winning the school beauty pageant; or battling accusations that he's heterosexual, Corey always gets into a little himself mischief but knows he can depend upon his very favourite teacher Mrs Turner to help save the community from moral decay. Endlessly optimistic, Corey has a way of winning the confidence of the most impenetrable school palls, and luring them upstairs for a look at some of his 'things'.

DAD (Radall Burger) - Dr Fielding is an aged psychiatrist and icon of the Local Community. Balancing an unsuccessful professional career with his not-quite-normal family isn't always easy and sometimes Dad finds himself going 'postal' with an AK-47 rifle at the local Community Centre or prescribing lethal doses of "Special Pharmaceuticals" to members of the family.

MOM (Marylin McGuire)- Diagnosed by Dad with a number of psychotic disorders, Mom always means well and tries to get along with all of children's friends... sometimes she tries a little too hard. Obsessed with marrying her children off, Mom is always on the look out for kids that "put out".

ALICE (Bonnie Smith) - Alice is just trying to grow up as a normal goth, but can't seem to escape the psychotic babblings of her mother, the insatiable sexual appetite of her brother or the murderous intentions of her father. Desperately jealous of Corey's ability to pull boy-pussy whenever he wants it, Alice goes out of her way to ruin everything and prove that she's the best after all. Her attempts to get even with the world often lands her in sticky situations, especially when she sucks-up to the wrong people with pervy intentions.

ERIC (Michael Webb) - The friendly (and gorgeous!) Boy Next Door, Eric gets on with everyone, except Alice, much to her intense frustration. Eric is always willing to put out, especially if it means getting someone out of a jam. Often oblivious to Corey's advances, this is a "will they / won't they" relationship to rival Billy and Alison.

GREG - (Mark Wilson) The horny neighbourhood stoner, Greg's penis is always getting him into trouble. Searching for meaning in meaningless world, Greg always comes up with pussy as the answer to life?s complex plot-lines. Mom is his biggest fan, and often wishes she was thirty or forty years younger so that she could wrap her lips around Greg's bong and find out what all the fuss is about.

CARLA (Deborah Robertson)  A dark history of household accidents haunts Ex- family cleaner Carla, who constantly seems at odds with the world. Even though they already fired Carla, The Fielding's don't seem to mind her hanging around the house, even if they do periodically try to take her life.

SNOWEY THE TALKING STUFFED CAT (The voice of Dominic McDonald) Snowy's life is defined by a horrible accident, during which he drove Carla's Poodle Wash Van into a cement mixer, killing all on board including himself. Luckily for Snowey, a sleazy solicitor was killed at the same time, and in a bizarre happenstance, the solicitor's brain was transferred into Snowey's (stuffed) body. Unable to escape the bandaged carcass of a stuffed cat, the new Snowey relives his boredom by creating as many problems as he possibly can for the Fieldings.
